This document appoints Thomas Little of the 13th Infantry to 1st Lieutenant. The document has its original War Office green embossed seal on the upper left corner along with a notation that it was recorded in the Adjutant General's Office on June 8, 1863. A fine example of an officer appointment to a very noteworthy regiment; discoloration commensurate w/ age; heavy fold line down the middle; significant dark spot on the bottom edge; five light horizontal fold lines.
