Alex Rodriguez the three-time MVP wore this size “50” jersey during his first season in the Big Apple – 2004. A-Rod held up well in that crucible known as Yankee Stadium. A.286 average, 36 home runs and 106 RBIs, typical A-Rod numbers, all point to his consistency. The offered jersey, authenticated with a signed letter by A-Rod, is the first-known Yankee jersey with the superstar’s validation. Wonderful use is exhibited with light puckering on the two-color tackle twill identifiers and great label wear is evident. Midnight navy blue and white ribbing surrounds the sleeves. Pilling appears below “YORK” on the front. Sewn in the tail is a Russell Athletic tag and two suspended flag designators: fabric/size and “+2? Body Length.” Both flag tags have curled from washings.
